Summer Concert Series: TYRON BENOIT on the Patio – Prosser
Join us for the 6th and final concert of our 2024 Summer Concert Series Featuring Tyron Benoit with special guest Ashleigh Flynn & The Riverters, brought to you by Brewminatti’s and WIT Cellars.
Tickets start at $25
Tyron Benoit’s music is just as diverse as Cajun culture. When you listen to the band’s music, there’s a dash of Zydeco, a pinch of rock, and a sprinkle of Americano. It’s culture that drives his passion, and as they say, there is no place like home. Tyron, a Houma native, has a passion for the Cajun culture that has delved into his music, “There are so many great musicians from our area and I think we take that for granted because we grow up with it,” he said. “It goes all the way back to my grandpa’s house. He was an unbelievable harmonica and fiddle player…music was born with us.” Other than the folk influence from his grandfather, his family frequently listened to Classic Rock, which the fusion is evident in Tyron’s music today. Genre isn’t the only diverse aspect of Tryon’s music. Although his love is playing guitar, he also plays the keyboard and accordion. He views instruments as tools and a way to not only tell his story but his way to keep the Cajun culture alive.

“A live set that leaps out of the speakers and grabs your attention from the git go… You can call this music Country, Americana, or whatever you want, but the way the guitars bite, the drums pound, and the bass drives, I will say that this is some of the finest Rocking ‘n’ Rolling ensemble playing I’ve heard… Add to that some delicious accordion and fun and catty background vocals and this whole 45 minute set goes by way too fast.”
